I offer one to one sewing and dressmaking lessons in the Knaresborough, Harrogate, Boroughbridge areas. I have been sewing in some shape or form for most of my life and I love to support others to get as much enjoyment from it as I do!
Lessons are £20 to £25 per hour and the location will be agreed with you at the point of booking.

Introduction to the sewing machine
Introducing you to the sewing machine and how it works, how to wind a bobbin, how to thread the needle, how to sew a seam. How to select your stitch length and width and much more!
Beginner sewing project support
Working through beginner level sewing projects with you from start to finish such as tote bags, cushions covers, pyjama patterns, etc. Providing support and guidance and imparting lots of tips and techniques to get you sewing proficiently.
Sewing project

Providing you with support on a particular step in a beginner level sewing project that you are stuck on. If you are struggling to understand the pattern instructions or you've just got a bit lost, I can help you to become unstuck so you can move forward.
General support and encouragement
If you are now looking to get back into sewing and / or dressmaking following a break but just need a bit of moral support to get going, I can help. Assisting with any issues you encounter and offering advice if needed to enable you to fall back in love with your hobby!
