hShShop Handmade With Me

I absolutely adore everything about sewing and dressmaking....from planning what to make, choosing the fabric and notions, the sewing process itself and then cherishing what I've made when it's complete.  However, there has always been one element which does not sit well with me and that's the fabric waste that is almost an inevitable part of the process.

Whenever you cut out a project, whether that's a cushion cover or a bespoke shirt or jacket, there is always at least a small amount of fabric leftover.  I really dislike waste in any aspect of life and so to counteract it with my sewing and dressmaking, I re-purpose as many of my fabric scraps as possible.

On Etsy I sell handmade fabric covered buttons, bias binding and piping all made from the fabric leftover from my own sewing and dressmaking projects.

On The British Craft House, I sell handmade occasion bags, again crafted from fabric that would otherwise have gone in the bin following a dressmaking project.
