Join me, Amy from Dress By Amy, at The Sewing Sanctuary in Harrogate for a relaxed and friendly Christmas stocking making workshop. You’ll spend a lovely three hours learning how to make your own festive fabric Christmas stocking, with all the materials, equipment and tuition provided.
Whether you’re an experienced sewer or you’re relatively new to sewing, this workshop is designed to be enjoyable and accessible. It’s the perfect opportunity to get creative, learn some new sewing skills and make something special to use and treasure at Christmas.
🎄 Christmas Stocking Sewing Workshop
During this three-hour Christmas sewing workshop in Harrogate, I’ll guide you through the process of making your own Christmas stocking from start to finish.
You’ll learn how to:

Cut out your Christmas stocking using a pattern

Work with fabric and Christmas-themed materials

Use a sewing machine to construct your stocking

Sew the different sections together neatly

Add a hanging loop

Finish your stocking ready to hang up for Christmas
You don’t need to worry about bringing lots of sewing equipment with you. All sewing machines, equipment and materials are provided, along with friendly tuition and plenty of guidance throughout the workshop.
And because it’s Christmas, there’ll also be festive refreshments to enjoy during your morning!

The workshops take place at The Sewing Sanctuary, Harrogate on the following mornings between 10:00 and 13:00:

🧵 Do I need sewing experience?
No!
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some previous sewing experience.
If you've always wanted to try sewing but aren't sure where to start, a festive project like this is a lovely way to learn. I'll talk you through each stage and be on hand to help you with your sewing throughout the morning.
If you already enjoy sewing, it's also a great opportunity to spend a few relaxed hours making something festive in the company of other creative people.
