Learn How To Sew A Hanging Heart In A Few Easy Steps!
Here's what you'll need:
Small fabric scraps
Matching thread
A ribbon (approximately 25cms long)
Wadding / toy stuffing
A sewing machine
A hand sewing needle
Paper and pen
Here's how to do it:
Draw yourself a heart onto a piece of paper and cut it out
Use that template to draw around and cut out two heart shapes from your piece of fabric
Cut a piece of ribbon that is approximately 9 to 10 inches long - about 25cms
Place the hearts right sides together and pin around the edge leaving a gap which is about
2 inches (5 cms) long down one side
Fold your ribbon in half
And insert it in-between the two hearts with the loop inside and the two raw edges just poking out of the top between the two rounded parts
Sew around the heart shapes with a quarter of an inch seam allowance, back stitching at each end
Turn the heart right sides out through the gap that you left
Now take some wadding, break off small pieces and stuff them into the heart you have made until its completely full
Finally, make sure the seam allowance is tucked inside and then close up the gap with some small ladder stitches
And there’s your lovely hanging heart
